Berlin-Neuroder Kunstanstalten
Berlin-Neuroder Kunstanstalten was one of the firms which did its own printing, in fact it had four factories, in Brandenburg (Prussia), Neurode (Silesia), Dresden (Saxony) and Braunau (Bohemia). Many of the early BNK bromide photo cards were printed at Dresden branch
(see here). It used several logos, commonly in an inverted triangle and a one with script lettering in an oval, but all contain the letters BNK.
BNK was a member of
the NBC Cartel.
During the second world war the firm manufactured cardboard ammunition boxes. The German alphabetic ordnance code used for this firm was nfw.
At this link there is a
large collection of illustrations of BNK cards, with many of the subjects identified.
