Yvon was the pseudonym of Paris photographer Jean Pierre Yves Petit (1886–1969), adopted because there was already a popular portrait photographer named Pierre Petit. From about 1919 Yvon photographed and published celebrated collections of photos of Paris and then of France, before becoming well known for postcard production The company has continued to moderm times.
