Attilo Scrocchi, Milan

A publishing house founded in 1900 which produced cards until 2000. It was based in Milan in Corso Roma 122, where it remained through a number of changes of name, eg Stabilimento Litografico A. Scrocchi (Stab. Lit. A. Scrocchi - Milano). The 1993 Milan directory lists its activities as: Edizione di stampe artistiche: cartoline, album con vedute quadri, sculture, delle gallerie, guide della città, piante, ecc ., ossia quanto necessila ai turisti e forestieri per la buona propaganda nazionale.

The logo on the earliest cards is a monogram of A and S over a small m. Later a very compact intertwined ASM. A modified version of the latter with FSM represents Fratelli Scrocchi Milan, presumably sons or other successors, but I have only seen view cards with this logo.
