Adelbert Bitriol, Dresden

Successor to Koch & Bitriol, Dresden, which made losses and relocated. Adelbert had been the photographer at Koch and Bitriol, and issued cards marked with his full name.

Lists of publishers initials show for A.B.D. both Adelbert Bitriol Dresden and Adolf Brendler Dresden. I have never come across any card identified as by Brendler. I believe the second card is by Adelbert because Koch & Bitriol also published cards featuring cat illustrations by Sophie Sperlich; others did also, most didn't. But any identification based solely on printed initials is open to question.
